The ideal candidate will have a MLIS degree, 5 years of public library experience and a thorough knowledge of technology (website and social media) and ILS systems as well as enjoy taking on new challenges.

The City of Monterey Park is seeking a Literacy Program Administrator for the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library to plan, organize, administer and assist in developing a large, comprehensive Literacy Program for the City. The Literacy Program Administrator is responsible for developing a coalition of community agencies and groups to coordinate and expand existing literacy efforts. This position reports to the City Librarian and supervises staff and volunteers.
